
ILMA Staff Grows to Serve Members Better
ALEXANDRIA, VA (December 1, 2008) ILMA is pleased to announce it has hired Jessica Clary to serve in the newly created position of Communications Coordinator. The Communications Coordinator position will provide support for ILMA's publications (including editorial and serving as a liaison with Compoundings authors), manage the ILMA website, distribute press releases, and fulfill other general administrative duties at the ILMA office.
Clary holds a BA in journalism from the University of South Carolina and a MFA in nonfiction writing from the Savannah College of Art and Design. Previously, Clary served as Assistant Director of Student Media at SCAD, and recently moved to Washington D.C.
Starting January 5, 2009, Carla Mangone will reduce her role at ILMA, transitioning to a new part-time position of Director of Meetings. She will continue to be responsible for ILMA's Management Forum and Annual Meeting, working Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
Mangone's communication, publication, and other membership-related duties will be divided among Director of Publications & Advertising Martha Jolkovski, Membership Coordinator Jamal Jones and Clary. The Independent Lubricant Manufacturers Association (ILMA) was founded in 1948. ILMA's 308 members include independent lubricant companies that produce more than 25% of all lubricants and 80% or more of the metalworking fluids and other specialty industrial lubricants sold in the U.S., and key suppliers of raw materials and services to independent lubricant manufacturers.
