Networking Opportunities

SATURDAY, OCTOBER 11
6:00 pm - 7:30 pm Welcome Reception — 1948: Celebrating IOCA
Sponsored by: The Elco Corporation

On October 4 and 5, 1948, some 67 businessmen gathered at the Stevens Hotel in Chicago to formally establish an organization they called the Independent Oil Compounders Association. Several organizational meetings among some Kansas City businessmen resulted in the idea that a national organization made up of their ilk would be beneficial to the individuals involved as well as to independents in the industry collectively. Join us at this year's Welcome Reception as we flash back to 1948 Kansas City and celebrate ILMA's past. Enjoy the memories from this important city, while networking with ILMA members & guests.

SUNDAY, OCTOBER 12
6:00 pm - 7:30 pm Opening Reception — 1977: Celebrating ILMA
Sponsored by: Afton Chemical Corporation and Ashland Distribution Company

More than thirty years ago, IOCA moved its headquarters from Kansas City to metro Washington, D.C. Soon thereafter, IOCA members realized that their name didn't adequately describe the Association. IOCA focused on lubricants, officially becoming the Independent Lubricant Manufacturers Association, or ILMA. Join your friends and colleagues as you celebrate ILMA today, complete with Washington, D.C. decorations and regional food.
