What Do You Need to Know?

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THE ILMA 2008 ANNUAL MEETING?

Why should you attend the ILMA Annual Meeting?
Instead of flying around the country to meet with each of your suppliers or customers separately, you can meet them all in one place — at the ILMA Annual Meeting! There are opportunities for one-on-one meetings to discuss business with your suppliers and customers — top-notch educational sessions… networking opportunities to mingle with friends and colleagues at breakfasts, lunches, refreshment breaks, and evening receptions … and more!

NEW MEMBERS & FIRST TIME ATTENDEES

Is this your first Annual Meeting? Are you a new ILMA member?
If so, you will receive an e-mail invitation to the New Member and First Time Attendees Reception on Saturday, October 11. Sponsored by Boss Lubricants, this reception will introduce you to a fundamental component of all ILMA meetings — networking. Please make plans to join your new colleagues at this event! (If you don't get your invitation by October 1, please contact the ILMA office.)

COMMITTEE MEETINGS

Interested in Safety, Health, Environmental, and Regulatory Affairs (SHERA)?
All meeting attendees are invited to attend the SHERA Committee Meeting at 2:00 pm on Sunday, October 12. SHERA Committee Chair John Burke, along with ILMA Counsel Jeff Leiter and Government Relations & Regulatory Affairs Counsel Adam Cramer, will discuss committee agenda items.

Are you a Supplier Member?
Join your fellow suppliers at the Supplier Member Committee on Sunday, October 12 at 4:00 pm. The committee is the primary collective channel of communication the Suppliers have with the ILMA Board of Directors. You can offer ideas at this meeting that will be of great value to the Board as it plans for the future of the Association.

ILMA's Executive Director, Celeste Powers and Legal Counsel, Jeff Leiter will be present at this meeting.

Are you a Manufacturing Member?
Your colleagues will get together at the Manufacturing Member Breakfast Meeting on Tuesday, October 14 at 7:30 am. Be sure to attend so that you can vote on incoming Board members, as well as provide input on the Association and industry. ILMA is YOUR Association, so please make plans to attend!

What is the difference between a committee meeting and a committee session?
Committee Meetings are roundtable discussions where members can openly exchange views on various agenda topics. Committee Sessions are educational programs that take place on the Monday and Tuesday of each Annual Meeting, with speakers discussing trends within the industry to an audience. See Educational Sessions for details about each session.

ILMA/PETRO-CANADA BASE CAMP

What is Base Camp?
Base Camp is where you:
  • Pick up your registration meeting materials
  • Peruse tabletop displays
  • Check email at the internet center or connect to the wireless network with your laptop
  • Refresh yourself with snacks and drinks
  • Select your seat for the President's Dinner, and
  • Network with colleagues during refreshment breaks or after sessions.

The ILMA staff — easily spotted in matching ILMA shirts — is available at Base Camp to answer any of your questions throughout the meeting.

Base Camp will close at 6:00 pm on Saturday, October 11 and at 5:30 pm on Sunday, October 12. If you arrive at Gainey Ranch after Base Camp closes, please go directly to the reception to pick up your badge.

PRESIDENT'S DINNER SEAT SELECTION

What is this?
When you pick up your registration packet, you will receive a ticket for the President's Dinner on Tuesday night. Come to Base Camp any time Sunday (beginning at 10:00 am) through Tuesday (by noon) to exchange your ticket for a seat at the dinner. A floor plan of the ballroom will be available in Base Camp so that you can choose where you want to sit. If you want to sit with a specific member, it's best you both do your seat selections at the same time.

Dress

Day: Business casual (such as khakis and collared shirts) is recommended.
Receptions: Shorts and slacks, dressed to your comfort.
President's Dinner: Coat and tie/cocktail dresses are appropriate.

Temperatures in October are typically mid-80s during the day but drop to the low 60s in the evenings, so you may want to bring a sweater or wrap.
