Annual Meeting Essentials
Cellular Phone Service
ILMA has researched coverage for several cellular companies for service in and around the hotel. AT&T is best, with good service and strong signal strength. Sprint, Nextel and T-Mobile all indicate coverage in the area with spotty signal strength. Unfortunately, Verizon service is not very good anywhere in the area, but some service is available.

Valet Parking Only
There is no self-parking. Valet parking is the only option and costs $34/night. ILMA strongly recommends taxi or sedan service (see Transportation Information).
In-Room Wireless Service
Loews Miami Beach Hotel provides in-room wireless internet service for $12.95/day. Please be advised guests are charged for use at noon each day.
Dining
To provide members with outstanding networking opportunities, ILMA selects hotels that are the right size for our group. As a result, some of these hotels don't offer as many dining options as larger hotels would.Loews has one main restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner, Preston's Brasserie.
Other options are:
- Sobe Coffee Bar: Pastries and coffee
- Hemisphere Lounge: Bar fare
- Emeril's Miami Beach: Dinner, Sunday brunch, Monday and Tuesday lunch
- Sushi Sobe: Lobby sushi bar and late night
- Nautilus Bar & Grill: Pool or beachside food and drinks

If you would like to get a taste of South Beach, the hotel is within walking distance to many sidewalk cafés and excellent restaurants.
ILMA/Petro-Canada Base Camp
The place to:- Pick up registration materials
- Peruse tabletop displays
- Check email at the internet center or utilize the wireless network
- Refresh with snacks and drinks
- Select your seat for the President's Dinner
- Network at refreshment breaks and between sessions
- Ask the ILMA staff any questions you have
Base Camp will close at 5:30 pm on Saturday, October 10 and Sunday, October 11. If you arrive after Base Camp closes, please go directly to the receptions to pick up your badge.
President's Dinner Seat Selection
Your registration packet will include a ticket for Tuesday night's President's Dinner. Come to Base Camp, between Sunday at 10:00 am and Tuesday at noon, to review the floor plan of the ballroom and exchange your ticket to choose a seat. To choose seats for a group, you must exchange tickets for everyone together.
What to Wear
ILMA recommends the following:Day: Business casualReceptions: Shorts or slacks — dress for your comfort.
- Saturday's reception is indoors
- Sunday's reception is outdoors on AstroTurf
- Monday's ILMA Night Out will be on the lawn outdoors
October temperatures in Miami Beach average in the mid 80s during the day and low 70s at night. Please be aware that the location of the hotel — directly on the beach — causes it to be extremely windy outdoors.
