ILMA GHS Orientation Seminar

The Globally Harmonized System (GHS) for hazard communication has finally reached U.S. shores. Companies large and small have much to do to comply with the 300+-page OSHA rule that came out in March. What are the major requirements and how long do you have to comply? This seminar provided those answers and more, including changes in health hazard definitions and mixture rules for hazard classification.

IMPORTANT GHS INFORMATION

  • Major Requirements and Summary of the New OSHA Rule

  • OSHA Federal Register and Appendices
    • The GHS Final Rule is lengthy and printing it out will consume a lot of paper and ink! It is not necessary to bring a printed copy to the seminar, but you may want to consider having it available electronically.

    • Presenters will be referring frequently to Appendices A, C and D, so you may want to print those and bring them with you to the seminar or have them available electronically.
