What to Wear?
Daytime (April 8-10): Business Casual
Opening Reception (April 8): Dress for your comfort and your plans. Reception will be held both indoors and outdoors, in the ballroom foyer and patio.
Friday Reception, Dinner and Games (April 9): Dress for your comfort and your plans — event dress is casual. Event is both indoors and outdoors on an open terrace.
NOTE: Please check the weather and bring a jacket or sweater, if needed.
ILMA/Petro-Canada Base Camp
The place to:
- Pick up your registration materials.
- Browse tabletop displays.
- Check email at the internet center or utilize the wireless network.
- Refresh with snacks and drinks.
- Network at refreshment breaks and between sessions.
- Ask the ILMA staff any questions you have.
Base Camp will close at 5:30 pm on Thursday, April 8. If you arrive after Base Camp closes, please go directly to the Opening Reception to pick up your badge.
Internet Access
Free wireless access for Management Forum attendees will be available inside and around ILMA-Petro Canada Base Camp, with a password available from the ILMA staff in Base Camp.
In-room wired and wireless internet access is available for $9.99-14.99 per 24-hour period. Wireless access is also available in the lobby and lounge areas for $9.99 per 24-hour period.
Dining
The hotel has a variety of on-site restaurants and lounges including:
- Ann Marie's Coffee House: Coffee, pastries and light sandwiches and salads; opens at 6:30 am.
- Redfield's Sports Bar: Sandwiches, salads, soups and bar food.
- Lael's Breakfast: Famous breakfast buffet or order from the menu; opens at 6:30 am daily.
- Sally's Seafood on the Water: Waterfront lunch and dinner, all day weekend breakfast and Happy Hour.
- Lael's Steakhouse: Classic steakhouse open for dinner Wednesday-Sunday.
- and lounges including the Grand Lobby Bar, Top of the Hyatt, and Kin Lounge.
The hotel is conveniently located near the Gaslamp Quarter, which has many dining options as well.
Parking
Valet and self-parking are available at the hotel. ILMA has negotiated an extention of the hotel's 2008 parking rates for ILMA Members: overnight valet parking at $28/day — a $4/day savings — and overnight self-parking at $20/day — a $2/day savings.
Golf
San Diego's moderate climate has made it well-suited for golf, and there are many private and municipal courses nearby. The closest is Riverwalk Golf Club, located near downtown San Diego. Other local courses include Torrey Pines, with spectacular cliff-top coastline views; Carlton Oaks Country Club, which has hosted U.S. Open and PGA Qualifying tournaments; and the Tom Fazio-designed course at the Grand Del Mar.
