You and the ILMA Community
- The ILMA Community is 291 Member Companies strong, which includes 14 new members in 2011! The ILMA community is strong and growing.
- The ILMA Community strengthens business relationships. The diverse composition of membership helps members to establish and maintain business relationships. All ILMA Meeting Surveys show that 95 percent of respondents attend ILMA meetings for the opportunity to network with other members.
- The ILMA Community works for you on local and national affairs. This year, ILMA was able to work diligently to affect the California South Coast Air Quality Management District (SCAQMD), the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and many more regulatory groups on behalf of ILMA members.
- The ILMA Community remains committed to ensuring that its members can compete in a fair marketplace. The Association's ethics and testing initiative is entering its fifth year, randomly testing members' engine oils and tractor hydraulic fluids against represented industry standards and/or performance claims. Eliminating misrepresentations protects consumers and enhances the reputation of ILMA members as manufacturers of quality products.
- The ILMA Community reaches globally. ILMA is working to provide our members information on global issues like REACH, GHS and importing/exporting changes. And ILMA is working with UEIL on the "4th Symposium on the Assessment and Control of Metal Removal Fluids," scheduled for September 14-16, 2011, in Barcelona, Spain. Together, ILMA Members can compete in the global market.
- The ILMA Community supports the next generation. In 2010, ILMA Member Companies and individual donors contributed $43,300 to the ILMA Scholarship Program. With the support this year, and from previous years, ILMA has provided financial assistance to more than 55 college students, and more than $100,000 in financial aid to friends and relatives of ILMA Member Company employees.
- The ILMA Community spreads knowledge. Together, ILMA's monthly award-winning magazine, Compoundings, and the weekly e-newsletter FLASHPoint provide up-to-date information on the industry and opportunities for member companies to strengthen their brand awareness. The Membership Directory is the definitive source of information on the key players in the industry. ILMA's website, at www.ilma.org, provides members with information and opportunities as well.
