Apply for Scholarship
You can now download the 2008 ILMA Scholarship Program application or apply online. The application period is April 1, 2008 - June 30, 2008.
In order to be eligible to apply, applicants must:
- be a citizen in a North American country
- attend or be enrolled in a college or university in North America
- register as a full-time student (12 credit hours or more per semester, 9 credit hours per trimester or more)
- have a minimum 3.0 cumulative grade point average (GPA)
The following items are also taken into consideration, in the order below:
- Relationship to ILMA member company (excluding owners’ children*)
- Financial Need
- GPA
- Preference will be given to those with majors in Math, Science and Engineering
*This includes partial and minority owners.
All applicants must submit an essay on why they need this scholarship. Topics should include:
- How the scholarship will benefit future education endeavors; and
- Any "special circumstances" (i.e., applicant is the first child to go to college, or comes from a single parent household or need based financial assistance, etc).
Applicants can also provide these items that may be taken into consideration:
- SAT/ACT scores
- community involvement
- extracurricular activities and/or sports or athletic involvement
- letter(s) of recommendation from teacher(s) or advisor(s)
