Thank you for your interest in becoming an ILMA member! At the very reasonable cost of $2,800 per year (plus a $250 initial application fee), ILMA membership offers unparalleled networking opportunities, access to important regulatory information, current news and a wide range of knowledge and expertise communicated through a top-tier trade magazine and e-publications. Because prospective membership applications are vetted and approved by the ILMA Board of Directors, the application process may take up to six weeks. Once your application has been approved, you will be part of an exclusive group of companies whose policies comport with ILMA's business and ethical culture!

Apply for Manufacturing Membership with ILMA

Manufacturing member companies include any firm, partnership, corporation or other organization which:
  • Derives at least fifty percent of net sales from manufacturing (compounding and blending) lubricants, AND
  • Is not owned in any amount or percentage by an entity which produces lubricant base stocks for resale by refining, re-refining, reprocessing, recycling, or otherwise reclaiming used oil; AND
  • Is not owned in any amount or percentage by an entity considered to be either a major oil or chemical company with a national or international scope.

Apply for Distributor Membership with ILMA

Distributor member companies include any firm, partnership, corporation or other organization which:
  • Markets and manufactures lubricants, but does not meet the ILMA Manufacturing requirements, AND
  • Owns and operates a lubricant storage facility while maintaining a finished product inventory or utilizes a toll blender to secure these services.

Apply for International Membership with ILMA
International member companies include any firm, partnership, corporation or other organization which:
  • Derives fifty percent or more of net sales from manufacturing (compounding and blending) lubricants outside North America OR manufactures a minimum of 1,000,000 gallons of lubricants annually outside North America; AND
  • Does not produce lubricant base stocks for resale by refining crude oil or by rerefining, reprocessing, recycling, or otherwise reclaiming used oil; AND
  • Is not owned in any amount or percentage by an entity considered to be either a major oil or chemical company with a national or international scope.

Apply for Supplier Member (Products) Membership with ILMA

Supplier Member – Products – companies include any firm, partnership, corporation or other organization which:
  • Supports the objectives of the Association AND
  • Supplies raw materials, packaging, manufacturing equipment, packaging equipment or other goods or products used or resold by Manufacturing Member of ILMA.

Supplier Member – Services – companies include any firm, partnership, corporation or other organization which:
  • Supports the objectives of the Association AND
  • Provides services, not products used or resold, to Manufacturing Members of ILMA
