On-Demand #LubeTrends Webinar Recording & Slides:
Keeping Chemicals and Country Safe
Whether you tuned in to the #LubeTrends ILMA Town Hall on August 9, 2023 and want to review the wealth of information provided, or if you missed the webinar but know how important chemical security is, we've got you covered. Two representatives from the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) spotlighted the valuable resources available to lubricant manufacturers to help keep potentially dangerous chemicals safe from a myriad of threats.
Janine Mason of CISA's Stakeholder Engagement Division gave an overview of CISA's structure and risk management initiatives, including the chemical sector partnership between government and industry. Kimberly Heyne with the Office of Chemical Security walked through the resources available through ChemLock, an all voluntary, no-cost program.
"We know that security is not a revenue generator," Heyne said, "but there are changes that can be made that leverage existing structures and resources." For example, one resource focuses on aspects of chemical security that provide the most benefit for the least cost.
ChemLock resources are customizable, scalable and actionable, and range from on-site assessments and assistance to exercises and drills, training courses, and other security planning resources such as fact sheets and best practices.
